CAINTA ATHLETES SHINE IN BATANG PINOY 2022
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Cainta athletes, representing the Province of Rizal, proved their dominance in the recently concluded Batang Pinoy National Championships held last December 17 to 22 at Vigan, Province of Ilocos Sur by garnering 4 gold medals, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Aubrey Tom, a resident of Barangay Sto. Domingo, already a bemedalled swimmer, added 3 gold medals to her name by winning the 200 meter individual medley, the 400 meter individual medley, and the 100 meter freestyle. She also won silver in the 50 meter freestyle and a bronze medal for the 50 meter butterfly.
For wushu, our young ladies, all from Barangay San Isidro, brought home medals in their respective categories. Azriel R. Agreda, 13 years old, brought home the gold medal for Wushu Female Barehand (1st Set Nan Quan).
Adding to the medal count, are Maharlika R. Ibardaloza, 12 years old, who won silver in Wushu Group B Girl’s Elementary Barehand (Dao Shu) and Elizabeth R. Ibardaloza, 15 years, who won the bronze medal for Wushu Female Barehand (1st Set Chang Quan).

Rizal Province garnered a total of 9 gold medals, 8 silver and 13 bronze.
2022 was indeed a banner year for females in Cainta, especially for female athletes.
