CAINTA MAINTAINS ITS TOP 1 RANKING AS THE MOST COMPETITIVE MUNICIPALITY IN THE PHILIPPINES

In the recent 2024 Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index Award ceremonies held at the Manila Hotel, the Municipality of Cainta was named the Most Competitive Municipality in the Philippines. The Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal ranked Number 2, while the Municipality of Claver, Province of Surigao Del Norte ranked third.

This is the 6th year that the Municipality of Cainta was named the Most Competitive Municipality in the Philippines. Cainta earned the titles in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 and now in 2024.  Likewise, the Province of Rizal was named the Most Competitive Province in the entire Philippines.

Further, the Municipality of Cainta was also named Top 1 in Economic Dynamism, Top 2 in Infrastructure, and Top 1 in Intellectual Property Filing. Notably, Cainta was Number 4 in Innovation, a sharp jump from the 2023 ranking of Number 11.

The Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index is an annual ranking of Philippine cities and municipalities developed by the National Competitiveness Council through the Regional Competitiveness Committees, with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development.

Rankings of Cities and Municipalities are based on the sum of their scores on 5 pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency, and Innovation. Provincial rankings are based on population and income-weighted average of the Overall score of cities and municipalities under a province.
