CAINTA ATHLETES SHINE IN PALARONG PANLALAWIGAN

With the return of the Municipal Meet at Cainta, held last February 10 to 12, 2023, the stage was set for Cainta athletes to compete in the Palarong Panlalawigan held at Rizal National High School in Binangonan, Rizal. This year saw hundreds of athletes from 13 municipalities gather at the opening ceremonies held at the Binangonan Elementary School grounds held last February 26, 2023.
The Palarong Panlalawigan was held in various sports venue in Binangonan and included events such as aero-gymnastics, arnis, athletics, badminton, basketball, billiards, chess, dance sports, sikaran, swimming, table tennis and taekwondo. The athletes ranged from elementary level, secondary level, ALS (alternative learning system) and SPED, competing in their respective groups.
Over-all, Cainta athletes dominated the swimming raking in 28 golds in elementary and secondary level combined, 6 golds in gymnastics and 5 in dance sports. Cainta’s total medal haul are 40 gold medals, 39 silver and 31 bronze, maintaining its overall 2nd place finish.
